Whenever I come across a article or a book about sexual abuse my body shivers.. I can’t bear to hear those stories, i cant imagine the amount of pain the person went through, the world becomes black in my eyes..
I always have wanted to know what does lead to sexual abuse? Why do people enjoy behaving in an inhuman and such a cruel way?
Maybe the reason why I wanted to find out the possible causes is that I want understand or find any excuse for the abuser.. But obliviously there would never be any excuse to abuse and inhuman others, but understanding the reason behind it might make it easier for me to realise..
So I decided to to some research regarding to this subject to build a better understanding of the root causes of sexual abuse.
I found theories which suggest that there are factors at the individual level that contribute to the likelihood of a person committing sexually violent acts.
I tried to sum them up:
